Getting to Know Brett
Q: When/how did you become involved with Lightbearers?
A: My family had had much prayer and discussion on our future with me working in the music industry, During that time, I was first made aware of the ministry of Lightbearers through Kevin McCollum. Our families were friends, and we both attended University Baptist Church here in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Kevin started talking to me about a possible position opening up within Lightbearers. Really?! Well…the rest I would say is history!!
Q: What excites you about the Lightbearers vision?
A: It excites me to be part of a ministry that is addressing the need to equip young adults, by helping to give them a solid foundation in the Christian faith. They then will be able to stand upon that foundation as they seek to grow in grace.
Q: Other than Jesus, what Bible character would you want to have lunch with?
A: I would say David. His psalms have been tremendously helpful to me, and he’s a fellow musician.
Q: Other than Bible characters, what three people, living or dead, would you want to have lunch with?
A: J.C. Ryle, Dr. Martyn Lloyd Jones, and Francis Schaeffer.
Q: What is your favorite book and/or quote?
A: It’s a toss-up between John Bunyan’s, Pilgrim’s Progress, J.C. Ryle’s Holiness. Both books have been very helpful to me.
Q: What does a fun, relaxing day look like for you?
A: For me, a fun relaxing day would be anything that involves hanging out with my family and friends. I do enjoy reading, riding motorcycles, fishing, hiking, and surfing (Brett…don’t make yourself missCalifornia). HA!
